Grace Dumalac - Principal Designer
Grace’s intuition and consultative approach lends an ease to design, and delivers effortless sophistication.
Originally from Madeira Island, Portugal, Grace Dumalac earned her Bachelor of Arts in Economics at Providence College in Rhode Island, and continued her studies in Interior Design at the Boston Architectural College. Prior to making a home in the San Francisco East Bay Area for her husband and 3 young children, Grace lived in New York and Boston for 15 years.
Grace's love of travel and culture have led her to many destinations worldwide. Most influential in her design include Paris, Monte Carlo, Cannes, Nice, Madeira Island, Lisbon, and Barcelona. Having lived in New York, Boston, and now San Francisco, Grace navigates to big cities where style and fashion are celebrated. Grace finds inspiration in the fine details, timeless lines that resurface in style and fashion over the years integrating splashes of cultural influences.

Sounds obvious, but sometimes we buy what is readily available, on sale, or the latest fad. Perhaps for easily disposable items, this may seem reasonable. However, my clients ask me to design spaces for their lives, careers, children...gathering places where friendships flourish and families mature. This is why I remind my clients to ‘buy only what you love!’ My experience is that everyone can always tell me what they don’t like, and when I show them what they do...their facial expression says it all. No convincing. No selling. No compromising.
